Third Graders Welcome International Guest

Students in Mrs. Quigley’s and Mrs. Underwood’s third-grade class recently welcomed a local exchange student from Italy for a special classroom presentation, marking the class’s first in-person international guest visit this year.
Students learned about Italian culture, including the country’s regions and traditional cuisine, as part of their ongoing focus on exploring cultures around the world. While the class often connects with visitors virtually, the opportunity to meet with a guest in person gave students a unique chance to hear firsthand about daily life, traditions and customs in another country.
The visit related to their social studies curriculum and provided time for students to ask questions and engage directly with their guest, helping bring learning to life.
